How to overcoming Ear Pain When Flight

As the plane will land, then the air pressure will be higher so that the ear drum pushed inward and cause pain or ear like budek. The only way for the return to normal was to elevate the pressure in the middle ear quickly.

There are several ways you can do to overcome the pain in the ear when traveling by plane, namely:

1.if has an allergy or upper respiratory tract infection, you should ask for recommendations from a doctor to take the drug decongestan. Because this condition causes a blockage in the eustachian tube. Consumption of this drug 45 minutes before the plane took off, so allow time for medication to work.

2.Bring pack of gum and chew it during takeoff and landing. This will help keep the eustachian tube stays open and help normalize pressure around the ear drum.

3.if no chewing gum can be a way to hold my nose with his hands and mouth, then try to blow air out of the nose without letting go of the hands that hold my nose.

4.if long-distance flight, be sure to wake up from sleep before the plane landed because the eustachian tube will not be effectively open during sleep.

5.try to continue to drink or swallow every 15-30 seconds.

6.try using good earplugs made of foam or cotton, because this tool will keep the pressure so as not to disturb the balance in the eardrum.

7.try to avoid a flight if you're suffering from the flu, because it will facilitate a blockage in the eustachian tube and make a person difficult to breathe.

8.in certain cases and rarely occur, sometimes ear pain is still felt despite being out of the plane. There may be a result of small blood vessels in the ear to rupture, causing swelling.
